Industrial Mechanic / Service Technician

We are seeking a hardworking, motivated, Industrial Mechanic to join our growing service team. Apprentices are welcome to apply.

The ideal candidate will:

• Be able to work in a team environment, and under minimal supervision.
• Possess mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Possess effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Have the initiative and ability to upgrade required skills and competencies.
• Have experience using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, metalworking equipment. Experience with lathes, milling machines, drill presses, brakes, shears, and CNC equipment is an asset.
• Have a working knowledge of electrical circuits.
• Have a working knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• Be able to read and interpret electrical & hydraulic schematics.
• Excel in locating, investigating, and diagnosing irregularities, and malfunctions.

Licensing Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Class 5 driver’s license.

What the job entails:

• Working on a wide range of industrial machinery including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems both in-house and at customer sites.
• Assembling, testing, and adjusting new machinery prior to installation.
• Installing machinery and equipment.
• Performing routine maintenance work: cleaning, adjustments, lubrication.
• Troubleshooting malfunctions of machinery and equipment.
• Repair or replacement of defective machinery parts.
• Operate machining tools to fabricate parts if necessary.
• Estimating time and parts/materials for specific jobs.
• Completing reports of the work performed.
